Hooray for opinion polls!
I'm looking into buying a macro lens in the next month or so, both for my fine art work and for when I photograph detail shots at wedding. And I honestly have no idea where to start looking when it comes to macro lenses!
So, what macro lenses do you prefer? I have a Canon 5D MKII- so I'm open to any lens that can work with a Canon (I'm extremely fond of Sigma lenses! They're a cheaper price but that quality is just a beautiful as the Canon lenses). I'm also more of a prime lens sort of girl, I mainly use my 50mm when it comes to session... But I also looooove the 24-70.
Any suggestions? What's your favorite? What do you hate? I'm open to anything!
Hope all is well with everyone! I'm have all tomorrow afternoon free, so I'm planning on going out and shooting.

Back by Popular Demand (just kidding).
Yes, I really am back. It's been a long year and a half, but a good year and a half.
What has happened since March 4, 2009? I graduated from Hallmark Insititue of Photography, started my own photography business Happenstance Portraits (www.happenstanceportraits.com), I've been photographing weddings, senior portraits, headshots, families, and so many other exciting things!
But now that I have been out of school for a full year, I've been in a bit of a slump. My "artistic side", as my brother likes to call it, has been slacking. So I've started doing my own personal work now, to regain my "artistic side" and just have fun again.
I have uplo
Whooo!!! I'm a published photographer
Yup, yup!
I just got an email today saying that I am a finalist in the Photographer's Forum magazine's 29th Annual College Photography Contest!!!! Yes I just copied and pasted that from my email.
And what fabulous photo is going to be published in the book coming out in June?!?!!?
... The shitty little snapshot that is my deviantART ID.
Don't ask how that go picked. I mean, it's an okay photo but, I dunno. I entered much better ones, haha.
Oh well, it's getting published so I can't complain!
2009
Damn, I really can't believe it's the year 2009 already... Next year will be 2010, which is scarier, but let's not think about that now.
2009.
Shit.
I graduate from college in 5 and a half months- 5 months and 17 days, actually. Then what? I go into the real world as a professional photographer, I suppose. Man, I don't know what I want to do yet. When I go back to school on Monday, we have to start thinking about our business plan, designing our website, doing internships. It's gonna fly by like nobody's business. I'm so scared yet so pumped at the same time.
This year is gonna be good, I can feel it already.
Anyways, enough of me being
RIP iPhone
My iPhone has passed away.
It fell into the toilet.
I got it out.
Then it fell to the ground.
The back broke.
It not longer works.
RIP, iPhone. You will be missed.
